Sherratts Wood Scout Campsite

Sherratts Wood Scout Campsite

Opened in the year 2000, our District’s campsite is located ten miles north of Stafford.

Scouts pioneering a tower on the main field at Sherratts Wood

The twenty acres of semi-natural ancient woodland and seven acres of cut grass offer an ideal base for all sections of Scouting for fun, adventure and activities.

There are two main camping fields.

These are ideal for District and Group camping. The fields have easy access for loading equipment, water points and wooden shelters as well as easy access to adjoining woodland.

  • Mainfield
  • The Lawn

The site also has five small fields, ‘glades’, each equipped with water points and wooden shelters that could double up as kitchen spaces.

Sherratts Wood has some fantastic activities to offer, including a climbing and abseiling wall, air rifle shooting, target archery and axe throwing. The site is also equipped with an adventure park and assault course to use at your leisure.
