Lord Stafford Cup Camping Competition 2026

The District Scouts Lord Stafford Cup Camping Competition returned for 2026.

8 patrols from Troops across the District competed for the coveted trophy that can be traced back to the 1930s.

Friday evening, and Patrol campsites were set up ready for the competition to really get going…

On Saturday of the prestigious competition, patrols had to cook their breakfasts on stoves before building pioneering camp gadgets, then cooked their main meals on open fire into the afternoon, all to gain points. The Scouts did some great work all day. Well done, teams.

Sunday, and it was time for the camping Competition for this year! A great and enjoyable weekend for all and fantastic weather.

A huge thank you to David and Lucie from the 11th Stafford Scout Group for organising another brilliant competition.

Huge congratulations to Haggis and Moose  Patrols from the 4th Stafford Scout Group for coming 1st  and 2nd places, as well as the patrol from the 9th Stafford Sea Scouts for coming.

Some amazing traditional Scouting skills on show all weekend. We look forward to the competition again next year…
