Young Leaders Scheme – Module A – Monday 14th September

Explorer Scout Young Leaders (ESYLs) are an essential part of any Section team. They form a part of Explorer Scouts in the District.

The Explorer Scout Young Leaders Unit provides the Young Leaders’ scheme. All Young Leaders who volunteer their time to support Sections at Groups from across the District are part of the Unit.

Young Leaders are Explorers who volunteer alongside adult leaders in a Squirrel Drey, Beaver Colony, Cub Pack or Scout Troop. They’re a essential asset to any leadership team and play an active role in the section, bringing a range of fresh ideas to the table and acting as positive role models for the young people they work alongside.

The next course…

The unit will run the full ESYL scheme annually, with additional module A sessions run throughout the year. All Young Leaders volunteering with Sections should ensure they complete the scheme and Module A within 3 months of volunteering.
