Information for Leaders…

Back by popular demand, the District Scouts Pioneer Badge Course will run on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May @ Sherratts Wood Campsite.

See below an information poster – please share this with your Scouts.

Due to the physical nature of the course, we are aiming this at Scouts over the age of 12.

Please sign your Scouts up via the District Website. There is a very short form to complete, to enter the details of your Scouts attending.

Sign your Scouts up by Friday 28th March 2025.

This year, we will not be camping overnight. Scouts will need to be dropped off at 9 am on Saturday morning and collected again at 9 pm, they will be given lunch and an evening meal. Drop off again at 9 am on Sunday for a 4 pm finish, with lunch included. Scouts will need to attend both days to complete their pioneer badge.

Initially, there is an attendance limit of 5 Scouts per Troop. We may open more spaces to Troops after the initial closing date.

Leaders from each Troop are not required to attend this event. The course will be run by the Pioneers Team. Although, we encourage you to let us know if you would like to attend and develop your pioneering skills!

After the closing date, the organising team will contact the attendee’s parents/carers directly, by email, to arrange payment and complete the online authorisation form.

Any questions, please contact the Team: pioneers@staffordscouts.org.uk

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
