Abseiling at Millers Dale Bridge

Date: 20th October 2024 Location: Millers Dale Bridge, Buxton, UK Sections: Scouts, Explorers

The County Mountain Team are running an abseiling day on Sunday 20th October at Millers Dale Bridge on the Monsal Trail in the Peak District. The bridge has an 80ft drop in a beautiful location.

Groups can book a 1 hour slot at a cost of £85 per slot. Each slot will take 12 Scouts or Explorers.

Slots will be booked upon receiving a completed booking form and full payment.

Bookable slots are as follows

  • 9am – 10am
  • 10am – 11am
  • 11am – 12pm
  • 12pm – 1pm
  • 1pm – 2pm
  • 2pm – 3pm
  • 3pm – 4pm

This is a great fundraising opportunity for groups as individuals could do this as a sponsored abseil.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
